From the inception we are a self propagating, self governing, self supporting and self missionizing church. Our goal is to advance the kingdom of God in Africa, resulting in us taking many teams into the most rural areas, under challenging conditions.
Around the world, the Assemblies of God family celebrates Jesus. As one of our own says, “there is no heart He cannot reach, no wound He cannot heal, no bondage He cannot break…” Jesus said “He came for the sick not the well…” (Mark 2:17) therefore we can experience His divine restoration.
We have embarked mission endeavours in various parts of Africa, mentoring candidates for long term mission assignments.
We are affiliated with the World Assemblies of God Fellowship, which is connected to 83 countries of the world, who have a mission program.

Men’s Ministry
Men of the Spirit… Offers an opportunity and a place where men can be released from pretense and fear, and will be encouraged into their God ordained destinies.
Men’s groups are not about having a club (people with common interests and goals); it is about integrating men into the church. It’s about camaraderie, affirmation, personal development and spiritual growth.
Men are different. The common perception is that men are self reliant, don’t feel, don’t touch, don’t need fellowship, are too macho and are very competitive. Our vision is to see all men from all nations walk with God and love the Church.
Our ingredients are friendship, loyalty, and mutual support that manifests in restoration, reconciliation, inner healing and accountability.
The ultimate goal is freedom in Jesus Christ, where men are enabled to answer the call to leadership in the home, in church, in prayer and in outreach to the community for the advancement of Gods Kingdom…
Women’s Ministry
The mission of the Women’s Ministry is to touch the lives of women by the transforming power of Jesus Christ, discipling them to follow His example, and training them to minister to others.
Statement of Purpose
1. Reaching women through the transforming power and love of Jesus Christ.
2. Discipling women to follow Christ’s example and live overcoming lives.
3. Building wholeness and balance, both spiritually and mentally, through consistent prayer and the study of God’s Word.
4. Providing an atmosphere for women to develop their gifts, abilities, and lasting relationships.
4. Training women to find their places of ministry and effectively touch the world for Christ.
Our desire is to become a strong group of diverse women who will network together to become involved in our community. We want to be an avenue to help inform and educate so we can make a difference.
Young Adults
The ministry is relevant. Preparing young adults for the Life ahead… The vision is to be a conduit to transforming experiences, a place where people from any background can feel welcome and have a sense of belonging, where meaningful friendships are formed and above all, where a lifelong commitment to Christ is forged.
We exist to:
1. Educate- Not only is this generation unlike any generation the world has ever seen, but this generation is also growing up in a culture unlike the world has ever experienced. This is a generation and a culture of lost people. We strive to educate the church on the ever changing cultural climate of this generation.
2. Encourage – Ministry to young adults isn’t easy. If it were, every church would be doing it. We encourage our young adults in what they can accomplish for the kingdom of God.
3. Equip – Our desire is to equip young adults with the tools necessary to help them fulfill the vision of connecting young adults with God, the church and their purpose in life.
Youth Ministry
We influence young people from all walks of life to be aligned with the purpose of God and to serve in Gods Kingdom. We instill biblical principles through practical teaching, so that young people won’t succumb to peer pressure.
We empower the youth to be learner-followers of Jesus Christ. Jesus taught that disciples love God first and love others as themselves (Matt 22:37-39). We teach five values of Jesus that characterizes such love in an informal and non-threatening manner:
1. Pray regularly (in the Spirit)
2. Live the Word
3. Tell the story
4. Serve people
5. Give generously
Truly young people are our future leaders, so we create an environment for them to soar up to new heights of achievement and fulfilment.
Life Group (Cell Church)
Christianity is all about relationships. At AFJ, we strive to build up these relationships in the lives of believers to make them dynamic and alive. When we talk about relationships, we talk about our relationship with God and our relationships with fellow believers. Thus, we aim to develop and establish these very relationships in a persons life through this cell based vehicle known as “Life Group”.
We have trained leaders who nurture and mentor at this level, strengthening the believer, thereby enabling them to fulfill the Great Commission.
The warmth and compassion that flows through these Life Groups help believers to grow as mature Christians, as well as become ministers to one another.
We are interested in you developing a strong relationship with God and ensuring fellowship with other believers, as we grow together in the body of Christ.

Hour of Power
“Arise!!! Shine, for Your light has come, and the Glory of the Lord has risen upon you…”
We function as a spiritual clinic to counsel and deliver people with various needs.
Those that are depressed, physically sick, demon possessed, the drug addicts and distressed lives are ministered through prayer and the Word of God.
Through fervent prayer, fasting and operating in the Power ministry giftings, the team are able to deliver the oppressed from the clutches of the evil one. We are here to give you a new ray of hope and comfort for the future.

Bible Study
We believe that the Word of God brings power, transformation and growth. The Word is known as the Sword of the Spirit, no Christian can go into battle being unarmed. For this reason, the Church, has cultivated Bible Studies as a core ministry in order to equip believers to live powerful lives on a strong foundation, based on the Word of God.
The Word of God contains incredible spiritual truths that are necessary for any believer. It provides guidance, wisdom, knowledge, comfort and healing. “My people perish because of lack of knowledge.” Hosea 4:6. We provide profound teachings on the Word of God to enable the body of believers to grow to spiritual maturity, and ensuring that they constantly receive guidance from the Word. Kids Corner (Children’s Church)
We understand that our God loves children and made them in His image. He cares for us irrespective of who we are. Our loving God is a big God who gave His life on the cross to save us. This awesome God made the universe and all that we see on the face of the earth.
Our Sunday School provides an opportunity for kids to experience God. Every Sunday we have action songs, inspirational praise and worship where children exalt God in their own special way. Lessons from the bible are taught in the form of short stories, object lessons, memory verses and practical activities, empowering the children to develop faith, character, as well as instill in them Christian values.

Project Rescue
As a church, we are called to many things: to serve one another in love, to feed the hungry, to clothe the naked; we have created a platform by serving others.
We are raising self esteem and social statutes of those that are marginalised.
We also create awareness on HIV/AIDS, eradicating child labour, alcoholism, drug abuse, women empowerment, as well as hygienic clinics. Medical campaigns are a great success which strive to achieve a holistic transformation as a social arm.
“Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance… For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me” Matt 25:34-36

Worship Team

This group involves partnering together and waging warfare against principalities and powers opposed to the advancement of Gods Kingdom on earth. To intercede means to be willing to stand in the gap for either an individual or a people groups, for the sake of redemption and breakthrough, to righteousness. Worship Dance Ministry
Worship Dance Ministry is using our entire being to bring praise and worship to God. This ministry was endorsed by the likes of Miriam, who danced after the battle with the Egyptians, and David, who was said to dance before the Lord in wild abandon.
We encourage all age groups to join us in Dance, as we praise God with the very fibre of our being, in worship and with our bodies as a living sacrifice to Him.
